The European University Association will host a webinar on ‘Artificial Intelligence in Science - emerging policies and practical use cases’ on Monday 18 December from 11.00-12.00 CET. As artificial intelligence becomes more deeply embedded in science, it has the potential to transform research systems and drive scientific discovery. The benefits for research communities, and for society more broadly, are apparent. However, as the actual and potential use cases multiply, the debate around the ethical and social implications of AI in science becomes more urgent. This webinar will explore recent trends and policy developments relating to the use of artificial intelligence in science, with a practical case study as well as expert input from the European Commission and the OECD.
